Dr. Brooklyn Washington is excited to join The Natural Improvement Center as a chiropractic physician dedicated to helping individuals and families restore balance, reduce pain, and achieve long-term wellness through the integration of chiropractic care, functional medicine, and therapeutic bodywork.

She earned her Doctor of Chiropractic from National University of Health Sciences in 2010 and her bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Illinois State University in 2000.

Her approach is rooted in compassionate, patient-centered care, with a strong emphasis on education, prevention, and individualized treatment plans. As a mother of three, Dr. Washington understands firsthand the joys and physical demands of motherhood and brings this personal insight into her clinical practice. She is passionate about supporting women through pregnancy and postpartum by providing gentle chiropractic adjustments to reduce pain, improve mobility, address pelvic dysfunction, and promote a more comfortable pregnancy and smoother recovery. She also emphasizes the importance of chiropractic care from birth through childhood to help maintain balance, support development, and promote lifelong wellness. Dr. Washington is a licensed massage therapist and certified lymphedema therapist with advanced training in TMJ dysfunction, chronic pain, lymphatic support, and women’s health conditions including PCOS, endometriosis, and hormonal imbalances. She utilizes a comprehensive range of clinical tools—including chiropractic adjustments, dry needling, cupping, cold laser therapy, and functional medicine—to create personalized care plans that address the root cause of dysfunction. Known for her attentive listening and compassionate approach, Dr. Washington creates a safe and supportive environment where patients and families feel heard, understood, and empowered in their health journey. “My mission is to help people to feel better, restore function and improve their quality of life. After suffering from whiplash in 2001, I was able to return to a regular pain-free existence without any medication because of the wonderful care I received from a chiropractor and massage therapist. I wanted to be able to give that gift to others, so I enrolled in the clinical massage therapy program at the Soma Institute. I continue to study methods of hands-on healing to enhance my skills and enable me to help people achieve wellness.”
